Our postgraduate students and alumni have won numerous prestigious awards

Here are just a few of the latest:

MA Photojournalism and Documentary Photography graduate, Jordi Ruiz Cicera was shortlisted for this year's Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize. 

MA Documentary Film graduate, Ioana Dorobantu, this year won Best Short Film at the Open City Documentary Festival in London for The Marble Village and has now added to her accolades, a nomination to the prestigious Grierson Awards to be announced this November.

Ioana's brilliant filmmaking debut is followed hotly by 2012 graduates Giselle Santos' and Zena Merton's first prize within the student category of the 2012 One World Media Awards for Bagong Silang, a short documentary about life in a Philippine slum.

MA Graphic Branding and Identity alumna Marie Schultz was awarded a distinction at the Australian Graphic Design Association (AGDA) 10th National Biennial Awards for her project Sibling Cities, a photographic collaboration with her Adelaide-based sister.

Anna Symon, MA Screenwriting graduate, had her play The Meaning of Love broadcast on BBC Radio 4 while studying. This was followed by the broadcasting of Noise by 2011 graduate, Alex Bulmer, on the same station in March.

An iPhone app of Haunted London produced by recent MA Interactive Media student graduates Hara Mihailidou, Filippo Bonino, Simona Profumo, Narges Jalali and Derick D’Costa was a finalist in the student category of the British Interactive Media Association (BIMA) Awards.

MA Photography graduate Antonio Marguet is exhibiting work far and wide, and winning competitions. Recently, he was selected as one of the emerging best at the London Art Fair in association with Catlin Art Guide 2012. He was also shortlisted to exhibit at the Saatchi Gallery's New Sensations 2012.

Tamisha Harris, 2012 MA Graphic Moving Image graduate, had her stop-motion piece Dulce Et Decorum Est shown as part of the inaugural Motion International Festival in March.

MA Publishing graduate takes Glamour to Brazil: Paula Merlo is one of the editorial team that launched the glossy fashion magazine in Brazil in March.

PG Dip Design for Visual Communication graduates Graeme Rutherford and Alex Edouard had their future-forward poster Scanzine published in the V&A book, British Posters: Advertising, Art and Activism in September.
