Award-winning teaching staff and leading practitioners

Tom Hunter, renowned photographer and tutor on the MA photography, has published a book of work spanning his 25 year career. The Way Home tracks his collections from his early days studying BA (Hons) Photography at LCC and includes his exhibition of photography at the National Gallery, which is the only exhibition of photography ever held at the National. 

Programme Director, Anne Williams, who leads MA Photography, received the Education Award for outstanding achievement and sustained contribution in photographic education in the Royal Photographic Society Awards 2012.

Dr Russell Bestley, Course Leader for MA Graphic Design, co-authored a book on the Art of Punk. Published in September 2012 by Omnibus Press, the lavishly illustrated book celebrates a wide range of punk designs and launched at the Tate Modern to a sell-out reception.

Simon Collister, a senior lecturer on MA Public Relations is enjoying recognition as an expert in the field of digital communications and has written a chapter for Share This, published by Wiley, a collection of pioneering essays by leading practitioners on the subject of social media and PR.

LCC's associate lecturer in media Jeff Robins and former LCC tutor and graduate Graham Diprose launched a new digital photography guide textbook, Photography: The New Basics.

Tony Pritchard, Design for Visual Communication course director, presented a paper at Cyprus University of Technology's 1st International Conference on Semiotics and Visual Communication.

John Eacott, a visiting lecturer in Sound Arts, composed the score for the new Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) production of The Taming of the Shrew.
