International applications at LCC

The College welcomes applications from international students. University of the Arts London is a member of the British Council's Education Counselling Service.

Any of the Council's offices providing this service can be contacted for advice. University of the Arts London has representatives in many countries. Please note: Home and EU students should contact the College directly to make application enquiries.

Application Forms

Both application forms should be sent to:

LCC International Office
London College of Communication
Elephant & Castle
London SE1 6SB

Please note that you will need to include two letters of reference with any postgraduate application.

Please note: Your application will take approximately 4 weeks to be assessed and you will receive an email with the decision after this period.

Important: Students who require a Tier 4 Student Visa to study with us must also complete the UK Immigration History Form (PDF - 63KB) alongside the International application form. We can only make an offer once this has been returned and checked.

Students applying from overseas direct to LCC can send any required portfolio work with the application form and will not have to attend an interview.

You are welcome to apply to more than one course at University of the Arts London, but please ensure you use the approriate International Student Application Form for each College. If you are made more than one offer from our University, you will be asked to choose which offer you wish to accept before you receive an official offer letter or the CAS document to apply for a Tier 4 visa.

IELTS Levels

In order to be eligible for a course, students need to be competent speakers and writers of English. This applies to students from the European Union as well as those from other countries outside EU for whom English is not their native language.

Please contact the LCC International Office for further details on +44 (0)20 7514 8138 or email the International Office Administrator, on international@lcc.arts,ac.uk  for more information on the latest IETS levels required for courses at LCC. You can access the University's English Language requirements page for more information.

You may also download our comparison charts on the University's English language requirements page to see which other language tests we accept and what score you will need to obtain if you decide to take one of them. The IELTS scores and their equivalents on the comparison chart are minimum requirements for English language and students must obtain the grades required. There are no exceptions.

NOTE: If you take TOEFL, please do not use the comparison chart which is sometimes given with the TOEFL certificate. You must use the comparison charts on the University's English language requirements page.

Portfolios

When applying for visual arts, media, digital media and sound arts courses you will be required to submit a portfolio or examples of your work with your application. Your portfolio will help tutors to gain an idea of your creative potential and imagination, as well as your technical skills, and sketchbooks and diagrams can often provide evidence of potential as effectively as more polished work. LCC treats portfolios with great respect and takes every care of them. However, no responsibility can be accepted for the damage or loss of any work, no matter how this may be caused. Please contact the LCC International Office for further details and portfolio advice on +44 (0)20 7514 8138 or email the International Office Administrator, at international@lcc.arts,ac.uk
