Yumi Kohsaka chose MA Graphic Design at LCC for its excellent reputation.
"I was keen to study graphic design and decided to look no further than LCC," she says. Having never been abroad before, coming to London was exciting:
"The course was a great opportunity for me to meet and work with international people," she smiles.
"As an international student I think I have expanded my way of thinking during the course a great deal. One would never expect that the imaginative things around us are limitless. I would say it was like the proverb 'a picture is worth a thousand words'.
The printing skills acquired from this course are very relevant as design and print go hand in hand. Experience of this can lead to the position of art director but knowledge from this course can be applied in any graphic design field."
In the long term Yumi has a clear goal: "Hopefully I will set up my studio somewhere in London or Tokyo."
